Sources and corrections
THE SHORT ANSWER
Chevlume links the evidence behind its articles and dates its predictions. We prefer original material, distinguish reporting from interpretation and update articles when material errors are found. Readers can use the links in each piece to inspect the underlying sources.
How we pick sources
We prefer primary material, such as original research, official documentation and direct statements. Where that is unavailable, we identify the reporting we rely on and look for corroboration.
How we verify
We check the date, context and relevance of each source before publication. We distinguish an observed fact from a forecast or opinion, and do not present an unverified assertion as established fact.
How we correct
We review credible correction requests. A material correction is made in the relevant article, with an updated date and a clear explanation of the change. The original publication date remains visible.
