THE SHORT ANSWER
Chevlume is designed to be read without analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. The community preview keeps your writing in this open page, without sending it to a server. Its hosting provider may process basic network data needed to deliver and secure the site.
What this site uses
This static site uses no analytics, advertising trackers, third-party scripts or cookies. It does not provide account registration or connected public posting.
Community preview and tools
The community preview runs first-party JavaScript for its interactive features. Profile edits, publications, replies, saved resources and learning progress stay in memory in the open page. We do not use cookies, local storage, session storage or a database to retain them. Resetting, reloading, closing the page or following a link outside the preview clears the workspace and rendered private controls. The page also clears them before a possible browser-history restore. This is not a secure erasure of browser RAM, clipboard contents or downloaded files.
You can explicitly export a workspace as a JSON file, import one of those files, or download a tool as Markdown. The browser handles these files locally; they are not uploaded to a server. A workspace export is unencrypted and contains the text you entered. The export review explains its contents before you choose a download or copy. Keep the file private when appropriate. Tool drafts have separate Markdown downloads and are not part of the workspace JSON export.
Copy controls use the browser clipboard only when selected. Example share links point to the example discussion; they do not include your local replies or profile. A connected community will need a new privacy review before accounts or shared storage are introduced.
Hosting
The hosting provider may receive technical request data, such as an IP address, to serve and protect the site. The provider's own privacy policy explains its processing and retention practices.
The Build Kit and contribution record
The Build Kit is a public set of original templates. Downloading it does not require a name, email address or account. The local contribution-record tool creates a self-reported summary and omits your display name by default, along with your bio, publication bodies, reply bodies, follows and saved-resource lists. You can choose to include your display name before copying or downloading the record.
Links to other sites
External links take you to services with their own privacy practices. Visiting those sites is optional and subject to their policies.
Changes
We will update this page if the site's data practices change. If consent becomes necessary, choices will be presented clearly and equally before optional technologies are used.
